Shadin Avionics Presents Expanded Capabilities at March Trade Shows

This month, Shadin Avionics will be attending both the 2022 HAI Heli-Expo in Dallas, Texas and the 2022 AEA International Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans, Louisiana where they will introduce a new product platform and reconnect with the Rotorcraft and Avionics Industries.

Shadin’s new CEO & President, and veteran of the aviation industry, Mike Ingram, will be joining the team in Dallas and New Orleans where he looks forward to reconnecting with the attendees and other exhibitors. Previously with Honeywell, Mike joined Shadin in November 2021 and has been working toward expanding the Shadin business to create long-term value for Shadin’s customers.

Under the umbrella of Maverick Investment Company, Shadin has aligned itself with Electronic Concepts and Engineering (ECE), a full-service electronic OEM product development and manufacturing supplier specializing in Military, Aerospace, Automotive, and Industrial market segments. ECE’s capabilities include hardware and software design and development, control system modeling, as well as mechanical, environmental, and PCB design. With this new partnership, Shadin’s product portfolio can expand into areas that were not previously possible.

Shadin has multiple STCs for installation of products like fuel flow indicators and transducers on many popular helicopter model from manufacturers including Bell, Robinson, Sikorsky, MD Helicopters, Messerschmitt, and Airbus Helicopters. Specific projects that they will highlight at the show are the Robinson R66 Fuel Flow System, the Bell 412 EPI upgrade, and the Black Hawk Fuel Flow System and Autopilot Interface.

On March 28th, at the AEA New Product Introductions, Shadin will be presenting the new Embedded Control System Platform. Developed in partnership with ECE, the platform is a ruggedized, certified, and tested modular control system which can be off-the-shelf or customizable to meet the needs of your project. This system was designed to be a forward fit solution used for nearly any application across the Aerospace & Defense market including engine control, strut data collection system (SDCS), weapons, fire and trigger controls, blade pitch systems, power management, and more.
