Software Test Engineer

Position Overview:

Shadin is seeking a hands-on and energetic Software Test Engineer. This position is for the development and execution of software tests to verify product performance against requirements in a highly regulated environment. Additional tasks involve specifying requirements and tracing to test cases with a focus on how this impacts testability. Test results along with code, test coverage and integration analyses are documented for and delivered to certification authorities to demonstrate regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

· Creating test cases and procedures for software verification.

· Utilize DOORS and other tools to demonstrate test coverage of requirements.

· Execute the analysis, design, and integration testing required.

· Software testing with Hands-on-Hardware.

· Definition and documentation of certification tests.

· Prepare and present technical data and test demonstrations to internal and external customers.

· Provide engineering expertise in the maintenance and support of legacy products.

· Support the development of documentation necessary for FAA certification and new product releases.

Qualifications:

· BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related degree.

· Excellent problem solving skills.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Demonstrated ability to work on a team with other departments to collectively meet the organization’s and customer’s needs.

· Demonstrated time management and project management skills preferred.

· Experience with aircraft systems: ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RTCA DO-178/DO-254, MIL-STD-461 / MIL-STD-810 / DO-160 is desired.

· Experience with aviation, avionic hardware design and development are a plus.

This position is located in Minneapolis, MN
