1. Apply power to the indicator.

| 2. Press and hold the ENTER / TEST button until you see 8’s
(or flashing squares) scrolling across the display. |

| 3. The word “GOOD” appears. |
| |

4. The first set of numbers to appear on the screen is the K-Factor
and the type of fuel units. |

| 5. The second set of numbers is the FULL FUEL amount programmed
into the indicator. |
| |
|
| 6. Third set of numbers is the SOFWARE VERSION. Several screens
may scroll to display the full version of software, depending on
the indicator type. Software versions are usually 6 digits in length.
Older units will have a 4 digit software version. If you are unsure
of which software version you may have, write down all of the numbers
that you see and call Tech Support (1-800-388-2849). |

| 7. To interface a Shadin Avionics Fuel Management System with a Garmin
GPS, the software version must be Level 72 or higher. The level
is indicated in the last 2 digits of the software version. Program
the indicator as follows: |
