Subject: Re-keying of ADC-6000 connector guide pins voids product warranty

Shadin Avionics repair department has received numerous ADC–6000 boxes from our dealers requesting warranty repairs for Out of the Box failures (OTB). After investigating the point of failure it has been determined that some dealers or installation facilities have been re-keying the alignment pins on the ADC – 6000. This is a very costly repair when this happens. This letter is to formally announce that Shadin Avionics will not honor any warranty on any ADC – 6000 when the alignment pins have been re-keyed. This re-keying voids any and all implied warranty and the customer will be invoiced for repairs as a result thereof.

Please note that the Air Data Computers 6000L and 6000R are not interchangeable between each other. This should not occur for troubleshooting purposes.
