Shadin Avionics
is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative
avionics for military aerospace, commercial, business and general
aviation. With over 30 years of history in electronic and software
solutions, Shadin is recognized for meeting the demanding avionics
requirements of the latest generation of aircraft while at the same
time enabling the upgrade and sustainment of existing fleets. Shadin
has developed over 400 products, with approximately 100 still in
production, in both fixed-wing and rotorcraft markets including
aircraft and avionics OEMs and direct government customers.
Shadin’s
business can be divided into three segments. The Flight Performance
Systems (FPS) include solutions on aircraft that collect,
process and convey valuable information used to increase the
performance of the pilot and aircraft while increasing overall flight
safety. FPS solutions include Fuel Management Systems, Engine Management and Trend Monitoring Systems, Altitude Management Systems and Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) certifiable Air Data Computers. The TrendBox family of products, including the TrendBox200,
is the latest addition to Shadin’s portfolio and, leveraging Shadin’s
experience in developing data collection solutions and manufacturing
expertise, begins to meet the growing demand for aircraft “health” data.
Shadin’s Avionics Interface Systems (AIS)
provide unique data management solutions that enable seamless
communication of data over dissimilar protocols or collect and
concentrate data for easy utilization by on-board displays.

AIS
solutions include Engine Data Concentrators and many configurations of
data converters for digital, analog, synchro, Ethernet and wireless
protocols. Shadin’s new AIS Configurable Converter Platform (CCP) technology enables unique converter solution development in a fraction of the cost and time of traditional solutions.
Finally,
Shadin’s Programs & Custom Solutions business enables the creation
of custom solutions for specifics customer applications. Vast technical
experience, program management capabilities and manufacturing ability
make Shadin an ideal supplier to meet unique avionic needs.
The company became Shadin
LP, doing business as Shadin Avionics, after an acquisition in
November, 2004 by The Wright Group (TWG), a privately held company
based in Dallas, Texas. Today, Shadin’s leadership team has over 100
years of aerospace industry experience. The company falls under the U.S
government Small Business classification and is located in St. Louis
Park, Minnesota. In addition to development and manufacturing
capabilities, Shadin operates a FAA Part 145 Repair Station to provide
ongoing support for all its products. On April 30th, 2008 Shadin
received our AS9100 certification and the company utilizes Lean and
Six-Sigma techniques to maximize quality and operational execution. Our
engineering team has been responsible for numerous products developed
to RTCA DO-178B and DO-254 Level A standards. |
